Discover Sydney’s Hidden Gem
Our founder, Jinsun Kim's journey began in Korea. As she realised she can create art with food, it ignited a global culinary adventure. In Sydney, she was trained at Le Cordon Bleu, and worked at The Flying Fish and Bilsons Restaurant. In London, under the guidance of chocolatier Keith Hurdman, she discovered a new world of single-origin chocolates.
Returning to Sydney in 2008, Jinsun opened Kakawa Chocolates with her partner. 16 years after, Kakawa continued to celebrate Jinsun’s love for art and the beauty of pure cocoa.
