As we head towards the festive season, we are already seeing businesses get in touch about custom gifting projects. It is a good reminder that the best corporate gifts are usually the ones planned early, so I wanted to share how I would approach choosing a gift with Kakawa.
Finding the right corporate gift is harder than it looks. It needs to feel thoughtful, look well presented, fit your budget and, ideally, be something the recipient genuinely enjoys. If you are ordering for a team, clients or an event, you may also need different options for different people.
We have been making chocolates by hand in Sydney since 2009, and over that time I have seen how well chocolate adapts to corporate gifting. It can be a small thank you or an important client gift, scaled to almost any budget, quantity or level of personalisation.
Start With Budget, Not a Single Gift
Corporate gifting does not have to mean an expensive box for every recipient. An event might need a small gift for 200 guests, your team might warrant something more substantial, and a key client might call for a larger presentation box.
Our standard range starts with chocolate bars and two piece gift boxes at around $6 to $9, and goes up to larger gift boxes at approximately $90 to $180. That spread lets you choose different gifts for different groups while keeping the experience consistent: bars for event guests, small boxes for your team, a larger box for key clients.
Adding a Personal Touch

Personalisation makes even a modest gift feel considered. Our existing bars and gift boxes can carry custom stickers, branded belly bands or message inserts, usually from a minimum of around 100 units. Setup for this kind of branding starts from approximately $100, a practical choice when you want the gift to reflect your company without developing a new product or packaging format.
Putting Your Logo on the Chocolate

Branding does not have to stop at the packaging. We can print a logo or design directly onto individual chocolates, using logo printing or custom transfer sheets, and present them on their own or as part of a gift box. It brings your brand into the product itself, and works particularly well for events, launches and conferences.
When a Project Needs Something Bespoke
Sometimes a sticker or printed logo is not enough. For these projects we develop custom chocolate moulds in a shape specific to a company, product or campaign, then build packaging around it: printed boxes, sleeves and other presentation elements.

Setup costs scale with complexity, from around $100 for light branding to $500 to $1,000 or more for fully bespoke work, plus the cost of the chocolates. Customisation is not all or nothing. It can be as light as adapting an existing product or as involved as creating a chocolate and package for one brand.
Why What Is Inside Matters
A corporate gift represents the business giving it, so what is inside the packaging matters as much as the branding. We make our chocolates in small batches using premium couverture chocolate, with a focus on flavour, texture and freshness. The logo tells people who sent it, but the gift itself is still made to be eaten and enjoyed. And because the same craft carries across every price point, a small staff thank you and a significant client gift share the same quality.
Four Things to Consider First
There is no single corporate gift that suits every occasion. A conference for 500 people has very different needs from Christmas gifts for 20 key clients. I always suggest starting with four things: quantity, budget, occasion and how much personalisation you want.

For some businesses, a bar with a branded wrapper is enough. Others prefer a gift box with a personal message, chocolates printed with their logo, or something designed from scratch. If you are planning a corporate gift, share those details and your required date with us, and we can work out what is practical together.
Corporate Gifting Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order for personalised corporate chocolates?
Branded options such as stickers, belly bands, wrappers and message inserts generally start from around 100 units. Custom moulds and packaging can also be produced from 100 chocolates, although higher setup costs make them more cost effective at larger quantities.
How much does customisation cost?
Logo printed chocolates and light branding have a one off setup cost from approximately $100, plus the chocolates. Bespoke projects involving custom moulds, transfer sheets or packaging typically cost $500 to $1,000 or more to set up, depending on design and complexity.
Can you put our company logo on the chocolates?
Yes, through logo printing or custom transfer sheets. Your branding can also appear on stickers, wrappers, belly bands, message inserts and packaging.
Can you create completely custom chocolates and packaging?
Yes. We can develop custom moulds, shapes, flavours and packaging for a brand, launch, event or campaign. Costs, minimums and lead times depend on complexity.
How much notice do you need?
Standard products with light branding, such as stickers or logo printed chocolates, typically need around two weeks. Custom moulds and bespoke packaging generally need three to four weeks or longer. The earlier you get in touch with your quantity, budget, date and branding requirements, the more options you will have.
